Great stay at our cottage with very responsive and friendly staff. The pool and ocean were easily accessible. Overall a great trip for a family. Would highly recommend!

My stay was awesome, The caretaker and staff were very welcoming, I was impressed by the various places to sit n chill, the ocean view was also quite impressive. My favourite place was the swimming pool, spent most of my times there. Thank you Ian, looking forward to visit again

This was the 2nd time I'd been to the beach cottages, and I wouldn't hesitate to return again. The cottage was lovely, the location ideal and all of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

This was a last minute booking and Ian was very responsive and welcoming. I’m delighted about discovering this eco gem. I definitely will revisit.

Clubroom 2 was great! The property is immersed in the nature of Watamu with lots of wildlife around. The lookout points are a great place to relax and watch the waves. The room was just perfect for two people on a short trip, with a delicious breakfast included. We look forward to staying again!

We only found this place last minute and the staff were very helpful to accommodate us. Location is perfect, right on the beach with good access to Mida Creek.

Das Tornado Appartement ist wunderschön und ruhig gelegen in der Anlage. Der Strand ist in unter 5 min zu Fuß zu erreichen und wunderschön. Alles ist super gepflegt und das Frühstück ist lecker. Vor allem Justus und Faith in der Küche waren toll und machten uns sogar noch ein Gericht aus der kenianschen Küche. Das sollte definitiv auf der Karte ergänzt werden!

We had a great stay in Watamu in the Watamu beach cottages (not the apartment on the pictures as the airconditioning did not work, so we got another place to stay). We received a warm welcome and great service overall of all the staff. The cooks are great! As the place is almost on the beach, there is lots of freedom to make beach walks, go kite surfing, or take a boda boda to the center (15 min). We loved it and would happily return.

The location is near one of the best beaches. The accomodation is simple but clean. Ian is very responsive and reliable host.

Although the ClubRoom is our favourite in Watamu Beach Cottages, we had a lovely time at Laser cottage too. It doesn’t have AC but the ceiling and floor fan are more than enough to keep you cool. I love the design of the spacious bathroom and how you can see the green outside through the ceiling net of the cottage. It’s very quiet, as you are deep in the trees and bush. The little patio outside is adorable, when we left, they were planting a lot of new trees and plants. Shot out to the amazing chef team: Grace, Justice and Mapenzi, to always attend our endless requests so promptly. A special thanks to the sweetest house keeping ladies: Winnie, Betty and Unice ❤️

I had a great stay! The tent was exactly as shown in the pictures. My only gripe is that the showers felt a little exposed. I had to crouch to maintain privacy. Could stand to have the privacy screen made taller all around.

A big thanks to Ian for sharing your cottages with us. We literally walked to the beach every single day (that was super close).I would highly recommend to persons with little babies, they were keen to offer a crib for my little one. Housekeeping was on point, and very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you one more time.

The accommodation was stunning, exactly as shown in the pictures. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and we were given a tour of the extensive and eco-friendly premises, which were lush. Additionally, the host was incredibly responsive and attentive. Definitely going back.

Ians place was lovely! Clean, place is cleaned daily, there’s a snack bar if you need food and it’s in a great location! Green, clean air! Pristine beach! Would recommend.

We loved the stay at Watamu Beach Cottages. The people who work here are very welcoming and helpful in a professional but loving way. The restaurant and swimming pool are very nice, as well as the garden. The food is tasteful though it is good to order before because it may take some time before the chefs finish te food. We stayed in laser cottage which is a nice little house with its own sheltered garden with seats. The house is cleaned on a daily basis. Be aware to close both doors because otherwise monkeys will come in the room to take your food. Towels for the swimming pool or beach are provided. You walk there directly from the cottages. So all together a loving, beautiful and peaceful place to relax or go for some adventures in the surrounding areas.

Great flexibility. immaculate. access to outside campsite kitchen. cheap snackbar on site can get pasta for £6 approx. ac and good bed fan and mozzie net. a little more housekeeping flexibility would be good like the UK e.g a do not disturb sign, system to reuse towels to save water, they were always taken and changed. Nice viewpoints to relax in nearer sea. Great communcation

Schön gelegene Cottages (10-15min mit dem Tuktuk ins Zentrum) mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Justus & Grace, welche ein hervorragendes Team an der Rezeption und in der Küche bilden. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

The Watamu Beach Cottages was our favourite place to stay on our Kenya travels! So much nature, right by the ocean, a super relaxing place, beautiful view points, great pool area, clean and comfortable rooms, delicious food from their restaurant! What made this place extra special was the staff, they are all so friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home! A beautiful location right by the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful through out our stay. I needed to push back my check out and they were very accommodating.

The cottages are such a Gem, ideally located on the beach, with a pool and restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend the cottages to all.

Super nice place! We loved to hear the waves from our place while falling asleep. Good breakfast and super chef if you want to have lunch or dinner there! They also clean everyday the apartment. Perfect sport to enjoy the seaside and quietness and not far away from downtown.

Ian was a very friendly, helpful, flexible and responsive host. His team at the cottages are very experienced, helpful, kind, and attentive to visitors’ requests and needs. It was a great fit for accessing nearby activities (SUP and kayak trips, yoga, sand bar at low tide, birding, and a variety of restaurants.) I am grateful for such a wonderful stay—great value for money.

The host and staff were very friendly and the bnb is located right next to a beautiful beach. Definitely worth it!

We gad a wonderful stay at Ian’s Little Gem Cottage. The cottage is right in front of the shared and very beautifully situated swimming pool and just a a minutes walk to the beach (you can’t get any closer to the beach in Watamu!) Our kids freely wandered around the area and to the nearby sandbar in low tide. We enjoyed nearby activities, including snorkeling in the sanctuary, paddleboarding on Mida Creek and learning about reptiles at the local snake center (just 15 mins away)!

My partner and I had such an amazing time at Watamu Beach Cottages -- we will definitely be back! Thank you for such a fantastic stay.

Watamu beach cottages is fantastic value for money. Steps away from the beach! Ian was a responsive host and he and his staff treated us above and beyond expectations.

Topaz is a wonderful place. We enjoyed it immensely. Just a very short walk to the beach. House girls clean the house daily. We didn't realize that there are several other apartments or houses also sharing the same property. This wasn't a big problem. I just had not noticed that fact. The tiny ants are a bit of a problem and will get into anything left on the counter, so make sure you have containers that seal very well for any food items. Otherwise, we loved the place and would definitely go back.

Es war sehr schön mitten in der Natur zuschlafen und dem Klang des Waldes zuzuhören. Sehr schöne Anlage, gute Erholungsmöglichkeiten am Strand. Ein Auto zuhaben ist von Vorteil. Für Kitesurfer wie wir ist die Unterkunft super geeignet. Wir würden definitiv wieder dort übernachten.
